The Hawksbill turtle, is one of the two main turtle species of the South Pacific island nation of Fiji. Although they are widely distributed throughout the world’s tropical regions, Hawksbill Turtles are critically endangered due to human fishing practices. Taku grows to a metre in length and weighs 80 kg, although the heaviest on record weighed 127 kg.
