The fight between good and evil continues. The Golden Eagle bullion coin series continues in 2024 as a cooperation between Central Bank of Malta and Germania Mint. The coin has almost the same design as in previous year. There’s a powerful Golden Eagle fighting a tricky serpent, showing the battle between good and temptation. The background has sea waves, pointing to the Mediterranean Sea where Malta is.

On the other side of the 5 euro coin, you see Malta’s picture surrounded by a wreath inspired by a painting in Valletta’s Grand Master’s Palace. Around it are branches of olive and palm, symbols of peace. Lily flowers stand for majesty and glory, and roses show purity and harmony.
